आयुर्वेद में गौमूत्र को पंचगव्य का एक प्रमुख अंग माना गया है, और गौमूत्र अर्क उसका आसवित रूप है। सौम्य अर्क सुधा देशी गाय के गौमूत्र को मिट्टी के मटके में पारंपरिक आसवन विधि से तैयार किया जाता है।

इसे “सौम्य” क्यों कहते हैं:

आम तौर पर गौमूत्र अर्क की गंध तेज़ और स्वाद बहुत तीखा होता है, जिससे कई लोग इसे नियमित नहीं ले पाते।
मिट्टी के मटके में धीमी आँच पर आसवन से इसकी गंध और तीखापन काफ़ी हल्का हो जाता है।
इसलिए यह पीने में सहज है, और जो लोग पहली बार गौमूत्र अर्क ले रहे हैं, उनके लिए भी उपयुक्त है।
