Shastrokt (Vedic) Importance : This prashan is made as per Kashyap Samhita on auspicious Pushya Nakshatra in pure and sterilized environment while reciting Vedic hymns and Navkara Mantra. This Jain Suvarnaprashan is made as per Jain restrictive practices and thus brahmighrut (base) is used instead of honey. The benefits of this method are mostly same as the regular Mantraushadhi Suvarnaprashan.

मासात् परममेघावी व्याधिभिर्नच धृष्टकेतु । षड्भिर्मासे श्रुतधर: सुवर्णप्राशनाद् भवेत्। ।।

Why to Consume : It improves intelligence, cognition, ‘medha’ and immunity in children! Prevents viral infections. It improves the vital energy in a child and the child becomes full of positive excitement (harsha). It remedies irritation, lack of sleep and anger in children.

Who Can Consume : All children from age group 0 months to 15 years
Who Can Not Consume : Children below 2 months age only after consultation with Vaidya. Hardly effective on grown up teens (after 15).

Dosage:

0 Day to 3 years 3 to 5 drops.

3 to 5 years 5 to 7 drops

5 to 15  years 7 to 9 drops
